Basics
Kamaloka: Kartia's Labyrinth — instance zone for a group exping. For killing the last boss, players receive Exp, SP points, as well as full equipment items and parts for its creation.
The instance consists of 3 parts. In the first room waves of monsters attack the players, responsible for the boss's physical attack and defense, and in the second room, responsible for the boss's magical defence. In the third room, you will meet the final boss.
Entry conditions and cooldown
- Entrance: NPC Guard Captain in Gludio, Dion, Heine, Oren, Schuttgart, Rune, and Arcan
- Group size: 5 - 9
- Level: from -5 to +5, relative to the Labyrinth level
- Time limitation: 45 minutes
- Cooldown: 3 times a week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Re-entry is available once for each cooldown period by using Extra Entrance Pass - Kamaloka (Labyrinth) NG . You can buy it from the Butler or in the Game Store in your Master Account.
You have 45 minutes to defeat the boss. A message will appear on the screen 10, 5 and 1 minute before the instance ends. If the group fails the final boss within the allotted time, they can re-enter after the temporary zone closes. If you die during the boss fight, speak with the Guard Captain to re-enter. You can leave Kamaloka using a teleport scroll or through the monument that appears after the boss is defeated.
Pay attention!
Depending on the concept and server stage, only certain levels of the Labyrinth may be available.
Entrance to Kartia's Labyrinth and Labyrinth of Abyss have the same cooldown. After entering Kartia's Labyrinth, Labyrinth of Abyss will also have a cooldown.
Tactics
Group composition
Optimal group composition for completing the Labyrinth of Kartia of any level:
- Tank — not necessarily a knight. That can be destroyer or bard, depending on a Labyrinth level and character boost
- Healer — Bishop, EE or SE, depending on a party members boost
- EE or SE — to restore the healer's mana. The need for this class depends on whether the healer has a pet and the damage level of the damage dealers
- Buffer — when forming a group, keep in mind that all buffs, except the buffs of the Newbie Assistant and the Club, will be cancelled. PP, Warc or Over can significantly strengthen the group
- Bards — BD or SwS will provide additional reinforcement to the group with their rhythms. You can’t do without them in high-level Labyrinth
- Damage-dealers — any classes, capable to do damage. Choice at the discretion of the group leader
First room
All buffs and debuffs are removed upon entering the instance, except those provided by the Newbie and Adventurer’s Guide. Player buffs can only be applied once inside the Labyrinth. If a character dies in the Labyrinth, they lose the usual amount of Exp. Upon logging out, using teleportation scrolls, or teleportation skills, the character is returned to the city where the instance was entered.
Players appear in the first room. A group of NPCs
Kartia Prisoner
standing on the hill,
who need to be protected from monsters. NPCs will be attacked by three waves of monsters:
- 1st wave — monsters, physical attacks
- 2nd wave — monsters, physical and magical attacks
- 3rd wave — monsters and Overseer, physical and magical attacks.
After the third wave spawn, all characters receive a negative effect Dimensional Poison Zone Lv. 1 , that drains HP. The effect disappears after the death of the Overseer.
After the death of the Overseer and all the monsters, the door to the second room opens.
Second room
In the second room, you must kill the Overseer to reduce the final boss's magical defence. When the Overseer's health level is low, the door to the next room opens and he begins to run there. If you don't kill the Overseer while he runs away, the Overseer will appear during the boss fight. Monsters will disappear after the death of the Overseer.
Third room
In the third room, you are greeted by the final boss. You will have a minute to prepare to fight.
The boss fight starts with three waves of monsters. While they are alive, you cannot attack the boss.
- Wave 1 — 8 monsters, physical attacks
- Wave 2 — 8 monsters, physical and magical attacks
- Wave 3 — 6 monsters, physical and magical attacks
With the appearance of the third wave of monsters, the boss becomes aggressive and attacks the players.
Every time the boss's health decreases by 25%, the boss summons a wave of 4 monsters that will attack players.
Bosses in Kartia's Labyrinth 49 and 59 use the skill Kalix's Roar Lv. 1 , which turns players to flee.
The boss of Kartia's Labyrinth 69 uses the skill Dimensional Pierce Lv. 1 , which applies bleeding effect.
Reward
Drop
In Masterwork 5th Season, drop and Exp for completing the Labyrinth became personal. After the death of the Labyrinth Boss, each player who was near the boss will receive a chest with personal rewards and a capsule with a drop:
- Labyrinth of the Abyss Supplies 29 Lv. NG — Booty from Labyrinth of the Abyss & Kartia - 29 Lv. Tradable Chest NG
- Labyrinth of the Abyss Supplies 39 Lv. NG — Booty from Labyrinth of the Abyss & Kartia - 39 Lv. Tradable Chest NG
- Labyrinth of the Abyss Supplies 49 Lv. NG — Booty from Labyrinth of the Abyss & Kartia - 49 Lv. Tradable Chest NG
- Labyrinth of the Abyss Supplies 59 Lv. NG — Booty from Labyrinth of the Abyss & Kartia - 59 Lv. Tradable Chest NG
- Labyrinth of the Abyss Supplies 69 Lv. NG — Booty from Labyrinth of the Abyss & Kartia - 69 Lv. Tradable Chest NG
The capsule can be traded and contains the usual drop from the boss's list. The transition to such a reward system eliminates cheating and gives each participant in the battle a chance to receive a reward.
All players within a 2500 radius of the Labyrinth Boss at the time of its death will receive a reward, regardless of whether they dealt damage, were dead, or were out of the group. If your inventory is full, the reward will be sent to you by mail.
Exp
Exp for killing bosses in the Labyrinth is constant for each group member, which means it doesn't matter how many of you there are — 5 or 9, each player will receive the same amount of Exp.
Pets gain Exp without a level difference penalty between the owner and the pet.
Base Exp is multiplied by the penalty from the fatigue level, the bonus from the Exp Rune and the buff from the achievement.
Let's calculate the Exp with and without boosts as an example.
The players completed the Labyrinth. Some of them had buffs, others had fatigue levels.:
- Player 1 without boosts and fatigue — received 1,950,000 Exp
- Player 2 has the Daily Online Reward buff (+30% EXP) and the Exp Rune* (+50% EXP) — received 1,950,000 + (1,950,000 * 0.3)+ (1,950,000 * 0.5) = 1,950,000 + 585,000 + 975,000 = 3,510,000 Exp
- Player 3 has the Daily Online Reward* buff (+30% Exp) and 1 level of fatigue (exp gained x0.1) — received 1,950,000 * 0.1 + (195,000 * 0.3) = 195,000 + 58,500 = 253,500 Exp
*Daily Online Reward — Reward for the "Daily Online" achievement.
*Exp Runes come in two types — +30% and +50%, bonuses do not stack. When using several runes, the player receives a bonus from the strongest one.
Basic Exp for all Labyrinth levels:
