After abandoning these shores and forsaking their father-god Pa'agrio, a small band of orcs carved out a new existence in the northern seas. Generations in that unforgiving environment tempered their resolve and spirit. In time, they became the Vorgars — a people who walk their own path, relying on strength rather than the favor of gods.
Their destiny shifted when a mysterious map was uncovered. A Vorgar expedition soon found itself swept up in the Storm of Oblivion, only to be cast upon the Plunderous Plains — a land they chose to claim as their new home.
In the southern regions, the storm is said to be born of the fury of the former water goddess Shilen, long deprived of offerings. Yet perhaps the gods have not entirely turned away, and still keep a distant watch over the fearless orcs who once rejected them.
Basics
The MasterWork team is committed to broadening gameplay variety, ensuring every player has the chance to fully enjoy the game experience.
When designing new locations or refining existing ones, the developers strive to balance depth of content with accessibility. While no location on MasterWork is without alternatives, each one presents something valuable worth competing for.
One of the new features in Season Six is the revamped location, the Plunderous Plains. This area is designed to accommodate both group play and solo adventurers. Here, you’ll encounter not only battles against monsters but also a range of engaging mechanics. Rewards for mastering the location include substantial experience gains, valuable resources, items, components, A and S-grade materials.
On the right bank of the river that divides the location, there is an area intended for small groups, inhabited by standard monsters. Left bank is a zone for full parties, populated by stronger monsters.
Unique mechanics
A full description of all unique mechanics will be revealed later, once players have uncovered all the secrets of the Plunderous Plains on their own. We wish you an enjoyable adventure!
Elite Monsters
In MasterWork Season 5, we created a monster difficulty classification system:
|
|
Standard monsters. |
|
|
Possesses advanced intelligence and a set of abilities, including both offensive skills and buffs for nearby monsters. Has increased attack and defense stats, resistance to various negative effects, and immunity to lethal attacks. |
|
|
A stronger version of an Elite monster. Typically, has a unique name and rarely appears in locations. |
|
|
An extremely powerful monster with immunity to a range of crowd control abilities. |
Different types of monsters inhabit various parts of the Plunderous Plains:
- Normal monsters — right bank
- Elite monsters — left bank
- Unique monsters — different areas of the location
- Boss — will appear in the location in future updates
Nightfrost's Embrace
When night falls over the Plunderous Plains, a deadly chill engulfs all the living. This is no mere whim of nature — it is the breath of spirits. And so, this cold not only drains the life of the weak, but also grants something to those who can endure it.
During the in-game night, all characters in the location receive a negative effect:
Nightfrost's Embrace Lv. 1 — A numbing night chill slows your movement, attack speed and casting speed on the Plunderous Plains, but grants increased exp, sp, and acquired adena while you remain here.
You can remove this effect using Raider’s Hearth Mulled Wine NG , which is sold by Trade-Master Brokka and also drops from monsters:
When using Mulled Wine, the character gains a positive effect that does not occupy a buff slot and grants immunity to the Night Frost. All positive effects of the Night Frost will also be removed.
Raider’s Hearth Mulled Wine Lv. 1 — A steaming cup of spiced raider’s wine, brewed to warm the blood and steady the hands. Use to dispel Nightfrost’s Embrace and gain temporary immunity to its chill while you remain on the Plunderous Plains.
Restless Spirits
In the days, when dwarves worked in these lands, death was everywhere. They perished by hundreds — in caves, during railway construction, from the cold, and in countless accidents. There was no time for funeral — bodies were cast into deep shafts or sealed within collapsed tunnels.
The souls of the unfortunate never found peace — they became trapped between the world of the living and the dead. When Vorgars began restoring the old mines, setting up camps, and rebuilding the roads, spirits disturbed them.
Since then, ghosts have roamed the mines and along the railway ruins at night. Some aimlessly retrace old routes, others attack anyone who gets too close.
After midnight, monsters appear in certain parts of the location — the spirits of dwarves who perished in the mountains. The first rays of the sun weaken these spirits, causing them to vanish until the dawn.

Ancestors’ Envoy
When the Vorgars fall in battle upon the Plunderous Plains, their souls do not return to the sea. Instead, they unite and take form as a radiant stag — the Ancestors’ Envoy. Its appearance has long been seen as a sign of the final journey: the sea calling the warrior home, while all that is no longer needed is left behind on the land. For the Vorgars, it marks a worthy death. For others, an unforeseen covenant.
In a random part of the area, you may come across
Ancestors’ Envoy Lv. 70
.
Take a close look at the stag to reveal its hidden secrets.
Frogs and totems
On the Plunderous Plains, observant adventurers may come across strange totems left directly in the snow, as well as white frogs appearing where they clearly do not belong. Their purpose is unclear, but they are unlikely to be here by chance. Perhaps the shaman Kraag knows more.
Totem Karoui
Totem Karoui
is occasionally found among the Vorgar camps. Some have noticed that the Vorgars
hang
Bone Charm
NG
on these totems. I wonder what their purpose is?
Abyssal Idol
From time to time,
Abyssal Idol
appears on the hills of the Plunderous Plains, carrying a
chill of death and primal terror. This is neither the work of demons nor a random manifestation of evil,
but a trial — for those unafraid to look death in the face.
Those who completed the trial with honor spoke of gifts received from the spirits. Those who failed, however, were no longer able to tell their story...
Hidden halls
Somewhere in the Plunderous Plains, you can find a way into the hidden settlements of the Morgrim. Carefully study the surroundings and question those who are willing to speak in order to unravel this mystery.
Merchant
Brokka Haventoll Levian Trade-Master
travels across the location, trading with anyone willing — whether Vorgars or mainland
dwellers. She is interested in only one thing: money —
Levian Thal
NG
.

Shaman Kraag
Kraag is an old Vorgar shaman, one of the few who can hear spirits.
Something in him changed after the Storm of Oblivion. The sea did not take him, neither let him free. When the ship broke apart, Kraag spent three days in the freezing water, clinging to a fragment of the mast. Everyone else drowned, but he survived.
Since then, he hears voices. They are not the spirits of the ancestors, nor the sea — something else, from the depths. The whispers bring visions: flashes of places, faces, and twisted remains. When Kraag moves in the right direction, the voices grow quieter. The closer he gets to what they seek, the fainter the whisper becomes.
At first, Kraag lived in the main camp with the others. But as the Vorgars settled into the Plunderous Plains, the voices grew stronger, drawing him ever more insistently toward the shore — to the place where the first ships had been cast ashore by the sea. In the end, Kraag moved there.
He built a hut from wreckage cast ashore by the storm, far from others. Drogan and Kromm sometimes see the smoke from his fire. They know Kraag is there. They know what he is doing, and they choose to remain silent. Not all Vorgars are ready to hear about spirits, whispers from the depths, and the rifts between worlds. Let the old man do his work in silence — for everyone’s sake.
Kraag The Frost Augur
— one of the key NPCs in the location. Listen carefully to his stories
and bring him the strange items you find in the Plunderous Plains to learn their purpose.
The most attentive will uncover the secrets of the Vorgars.
