Basics

Pailaka is a one-time quest with a strictly limited level. To complete it, players must pass an instance. The reward is Experience and SP points, useful items, and Vitality points.

Completing this quest does not affect the Alliance with the Varka Silenos

Quest guide

Talk to NPC Ketra Orc Shaman Pailaka - Injured Dragon near the western gate of Goddard to start the quest. He will teleport the character to an instanced copy of the Varka Silenos Outpost.

You have 90 minutes to complete the instance, and 180 minutes to re-complete it if you fail.

Useful information

In different parts of Varka Silenos Camp you will encounter monsters Grazing Antelope Lv. 72 and Grazing Flava Lv. 74 . Kill them to get useful items:

Quick Healing Potion NG — Instantly recovers stamina. Can only be used in the Pailaka instant dungeon.
Pailaka Instant Shield NG — Potion of temporary invincibility created with the light of Sprites. Can only be used in the Pailaka instant dungeon.

You will get the Spear of Silenos A . Equipped spear adds skills:

Critical Up Lv. 1 — Increases Critical Rate and Atk. Spd. Improves chance of a critical hit from range attacks.

Obliteration Storm Lv. 1 — Delivers a powerful range attack, shocking the target. Consumes all accumulated critical hits. Requires a Stage 3 critical hit.

When using the Critical Up skill, the Spear accumulates charges with each critical strike on monsters. The maximum charge level is 7. Charges allow you to use the Oblitiration Storm, which deals significant area damage.

"The evil Silenos shamans, who possess a powerful force, are trying to change Latana's mind. Even if you manage to get through the Silenos army to Latana, it is unlikely that he will be of sound mind. In this case, you must free his spirit from his body so that he can turn into a Spirit of Fire. That is the desire of the Orcs.

Use the spear to vanquish your foes and liberate Latana's spirit!"

As you move through the location, you will encounter the first wall of Varka Silenos warriors. Kill them using the abilities of Spear of Silenos A or other AoE skills.

It will not be possible to avoid Silenos — the character will be teleported back to the area in front of the wall of monsters.

For killing this group of Silenos, you will receive Weapon Upgrade Stage 1 NG

Get to the second wall of Silenos and destroy them using Spear of Silenos A or other AoE skills.

Behind the first or second wall of Silenos (depending on the path you took), you will meet Ketra Orc Intelligence Officer . Talk to the Orc to upgrade your weapon to Enhanced Spear of Silenos A

Equipped spear has improved skill Obliteration Storm Lv. 1 — Delivers a powerful range attack, shocking the target. Consumes all accumulated critical hits. Requires a Stage 3 critical hit.

In addition, he will offer you to receive 5 magical effects, which are standard buffs for all classes.

"You are the warrior who possesses the spirit of the Orcs and the Spear of Silenos! I have heard of your appearance. Latana has incredible strength, but the Spear of Silenos will crush him. If you have a Scroll of Enhancement with the Blood of Silenos, I can strengthen your Spear! I can also cast a magical effect on you."

Take out Silenos' third wall using Enhanced Spear of Silenos A or other AoE abilities.

For killing this group of Silenos, you will receive Weapon Upgrade Stage 2 NG

At the next fork, you will meet Ketra Orc Intelligence Officer . Talk to the Orc to upgrade your weapon to Complete Spear of Silenos A

Next to Ketra Orc Intelligence Officer is the last wall of Silenos. Kill them using the abilities of Enhanced Spear of Silenos A or other AoE skills.

Behind the fourth wall of Varka Silenos is a braided dragon Latana Lv. 75 . The dragon does not move but uses a long-range fire attack.

We recommend clearing the location of Antelopes and Flowers before fighting Latana to collect health and invulnerability potions.

If your health is low during a fight with a dragon, move to a safe distance and use healing potions, then return to the battle.

After Latana's death, Ketra Orc Supporter will appear. Talk to him to get a reward for completing the task.
